Hammond Communications Group declares Kentucky Horse Park film progress

Kentucky Horse Park Foundation member Mary Wathen has been hard at work these past few months with her fundraising efforts for the new film In All Its Glory. Hammond Communications Group, Inc. is pleased to announce that Fifth Third Bank has come on board as the Theatre Sponsor. Other contributors include W.T. Young, the Alex G. Campbell, Jr. Foundation, Kentucky Thoroughbred Association (KTA), and Keeneland.

Hammond won a bid to produce the new film for the park, which is scheduled for debut in late 2003. In All Its Glory will replace the classic, but aging production Thou Shalt Fly Without Wings, the park's current film, which has been shown for over twenty-five years. The Kentucky Horse Park's importance to our industry and our region is well known. The film may influence over 800,000 park visitors and future industry participants each year. It is an exciting venture for Hammond to complete production on this showcase piece.

In the next few weeks, Hammond will be looking for a local foaling scene to shoot and is relying on the cooperation of some of the area Thoroughbred farms. The crew will also be out and about at many local and national events over the next several months finalizing filming of different equine disciplines such as Eventing, Dressage, Show Jumping, Reining, Racing and Driving.

Hammond Communications Group is a full service multimedia production company with offices in Lexington and Cincinnati. Founded over twenty years ago by sportscaster Tom Hammond and current President Ron Mossotti, Hammond has its roots in equine video production. Its list of clientele includes the NCAA, Keeneland, Fasig-Tipton, Valvoline, Lexmark, and many other local and national organizations.

Mary (Greely) Wathen stems from a long line of horsemen and understands the importance of the equine tradition in the Bluegrass and across the globe, as well as the impact that the park has on the local community. She has been active on the Kentucky Horse Park Foundation for several years and is a familiar face in Lexington's business community. To discuss sponsorship opportunities for this exciting project, please contact Mary at 859-254-1878.
