Five Star Horse Show Comes To The Odyssey

Sheridan Promotions in association with Equestrian Sports Promotions are proud to present The Belfast Indoor International Horse Show at The Odyssey Arena, making this Northern Ireland’s first and Ireland’s only Five-Star Indoor International Horse Show and a thrilling addition to the world’s International Show Jumping Calendar.

At The Belfast Indoor International Horse Show, first class horsemanship, breathtaking jumping and the world’s biggest names in the sport will take you on a roller coaster ride of excitement in events like the exhilarating Puissance, the prestigious International Grand Prix and of course The Irish Shetland Grand National.

The event has attracted a six-figure prize fund of £250,000Stg, which will entice the top named International riders from around the world to this prestigious five-star event. Showing her support for the event Ireland’s Jessica Kurten, current European Team Gold Medallist said ‘I wish the show every success. It is wonderful that a show of this quality is coming to Belfast. I am looking forward very much to competing at the show in November myself.’

The show will be fast and furious with top billed acts from around the world including Jean Francois Pignon who has been described as the best equestrian display to ever visit the UK, he has never before performed in Ireland and is renowned the world over for his magical new act featuring five horses in an amazing and mesmerising demonstration of trust, loyalty and liberty.

Also bringing with them, the jet set glamour world of The Sport of Kings, top named jockeys from the world of racing will compete against the show jumpers in a pairs relay on the Friday evening of the show. Tony McCoy, Record Breaking Champion Jockey, who is one of the show’s celebrity team captains said 'Northern Ireland has the newly crowned World Show Jumping Champion, Dermott Lennon and this show will be the home coming of equestrian sport to Ireland. We have proven that we breed the best riders, jockeys and horses in the World. Now we will have the best Horse Show in the World too.'

Private sector support for the event has been tremendous and Sheridan Promotions are currently in negotiations with a number of sponsors, we are delighted however to announce the support of Equestrian Surfaces, title sponsor of The Horse of the Year Show, who have just agreed a three-year sponsorship package, worth a six figure sum to the show. “We are absolutely thrilled to be providing our premiere surface Cushion Track, at the Belfast Indoor International Horse Show. Following their recent appointment as surface providers to the Horse of the Year Show, Cushion Track has rapidly become the international benchmark of waxed surfaces for competitive applications and is put to the test as far a field as Las Vegas where Cushion Track is the chosen surface at the Budweiser 2003 World Show Jumping Cup Final.
