Individual
and Team success for Irish Eventers |
The
Weston CCI** event last week, October 9th to 12th was won by the
Irish Sport Horse Simply Samuel, ridden for Great Britain by Julie
Tew.
Over the same weekend in the Netherlands, the Military Boekelo CCI***
team event was won by Ireland. Two Irish Sport horses formed half
of the successful team, Star Dance (ISH) ridden by Susan Shortt
and Glencara (ISH) ridden by Louisa Clarke.
In Showjumping, Lt. David O’Brien (IRL) was highly ranked in
numerous classes at the Helsinki, Finland CSI W (October 17th- 19th).
He won Saturdays 1m40 HBL Classic class with Lismore Clover (ISH)
aswell as the Reporanka Trophy Puissance class with Cruise Hill
(ISH). He was also placed second riding Lismore Clover (ISH) in
Fridays 1m40
Helsinki Horse Show Trophy class. That’s Life (ISH) ridden
by Michel Hecart (FRA) also competed at Helsinki, coming third in
Saturdays HBL Classic class and fifth in Sundays 1m40 Tapiola Agria
Small Tour Final.
